Whale Watching Tour

The Whale Watching Tour takes you along the Whale Route, from the coastline of Gordon’s Bay all the way to Hermanus, one of the top whale-watching destinations. Hermanus whale watching offers incredible viewing points from the shore, where you can observe in awe as the giants of the deep launch out of the water. These magnificent creatures come to the area each season between August and November to breed and calve. With approximately 3000 Southern Right Whales left in the ocean, this is truly a spectacular experience. 

This breath-taking Whale Watching Tour also includes a visit to the Fernkloof Nature Reserve which ranges in altitude from sea level to 824m and spans 18 square kilometres. Although the reserve comprises only 0.002 percent of the Cape Floral Kingdom, it contains 18% of its flora. Nowhere else on earth can so many different species be seen growing in such proximity. More than 1250 species of flora have been identified in the reserve. The reserve is also home to a number of buck, mongoose, dassie, and baboons. Rarely seen nocturnal animals include porcupine and the Cape Mountain leopard.

Since the area is also home to over 14 picturesque wine farms, this enthralling day adventure includes wine tasting en-route. An optional whale-watching boat trip can be arranged at an additional fee.
