The reserve spans thousands of hectares, home to a rich array of wildlife, including the iconic Big Five. Lalibela Game Reserve is located approximately 90 minutes away from Port Elizabeth, providing easy access for travelers seeking an escape into the heart of the African wilderness.

Lalibela Lentaba Lodge can accommodate up to 20 people in ten secluded thatched chalets. Designed to provide comfort and elegance, each space is meticulously adorned, offering a serene sanctuary. Private decks extend from the rooms, allowing guests to savor the sights and sounds of the wilderness from their own private oasis. At the main lodge guests can enjoy sweeping views over the reserve and nearby waterhole. View can be enjoyed from the viewing deck, swimming pool and relaxation lounges. At nigh three fireplaces invite you to relax and listen to the sounds of nature. The watehole is spotlit after dark for game viewing and a traditional African Boma hosts a dinner experience under the stars.

Guided game drives offer an opportunity to witness the majesty of African wildlife up close, while guided bush walks invite guests to connect with the smaller wonders of the reserve, including tracking animal prints and identifying native flora.

Game Drives:

Game drives take place twice a day in the early mornings and afternoons for a duration of 3-4 hours.
Game drives are led by an experienced guide.
Night drives and guided bush walk are permitted.
10-seater vehicles.

Wildlife:

Lalibela is a Big-5 reserve and is home to the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
Particularly known for its high density of free-roaming lions, which are particularly supported by the high numbers of plains game.
Other wildlife include giraffe, hippo, cheetah, hyena, zebra, impala, wildebeest, red hartebeest, blesbuck, a variety of antelope species and more.
A large bird colony is found in the reserve.
Leopard sightings are rare in any eastern cape game reserve.
