    Mateya safari Lodge

Mateya Safari Lodge exudes executive safari luxury. From the five formally elegant suites through to the main lodge, the thatch ceilings, deep timber accents, and antique elements create an enveloping warmth and sense of sophistication.

Suites at Mateya Safari Lodge are surrounded by nature and offer uninterrupted views of the waterhole and Madikwe Game Reserve’s bushveld terrain. With an expansive deck and private rim-flow plunge pool, guests can enjoy a secluded haven of comfort in the African wild.

The main lodge lounge is home to an extraordinary collection of art, celebrating the continent. From origional paintings to bronze sculptures, the art tastefully embodies the wild surroundings. Here, guests can appreciate cozy indoor fireside relaxation or sip a cocktail while lazing around the expansive viewing deck. A library, boardroom, curio shop, and art gallery all form part of the central lodge area.

Wildlife experiences at Mateya Safari Lodge are a personalized adventure in the form of game drives or guided bush walks. Each custom-built 4×4 game drive vehicle takes a maximum of four guests, allowing your ranger to tailor the excursion to your specific interests as far as possible. The vehicles are equipped with binoculars, shade cover and side flaps for protection against sun or rain, blankets, flasks for hot coffee, and spacious storage pouches for photography equipment or personal items.

Between game drives and bush walks, guests can relax at the wellness spa, stay active in the small on-site gym, and savour outstanding dining and choice wines from the lodge wine cellar. Meals are accompanied by a glorious view from the lodge’s shaded dining deck, indoor dining room, or under starlit skies next to a crackling fire.
