MCH Private Tented Camp
MCH is the latest addition to the Garonga Safari Co. family, offering a luxurious yet authentic safari experience. This canvas tented camp is designed for small groups, making it an ideal retreat for families or friends seeking privacy and a deep connection with the African wilderness. When not booked by a group, individual couples can also enjoy this exclusive setting. Perched on a small hill, the camp provides stunning panoramic views of the Makalali bushveld and the distant Drakensberg Mountains.
The camp features four luxury en-suite tents, each equipped with air conditioning, WiFi, a well-stocked bar, and both indoor and outdoor lounging spaces. The tents offer full en-suite facilities, including bathtubs and showers, and open onto private decks where guests can relax in seclusion. MCH is fully solar-powered, with a dedicated team ensuring an exclusive Big Five safari experience. For the more adventurous, a private Sleep Out Deck offers a unique chance to sleep under the stars.
Guests at MCH can enjoy twice-daily game drives led by experienced guides, with opportunities to see not only the Big Five—elephants, leopards, rhinos, buffalo, and lions—but also cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, hippos, and a wide variety of other wildlife and birds. Walking safaris and solitude walks provide a closer connection to nature, allowing guests to explore the finer details of the bush.
Between safari excursions, guests can unwind by the camp’s swimming pool, indulge in a massage at the MCH Massage Sala, or relax in the library, which offers WiFi and office facilities for those needing to stay connected. Meals are served in the camp’s indoor and outdoor dining areas, with evenings often spent around the fire pit in the bush boma, enjoying pre-dinner drinks under the stars. MCH combines the thrill of an authentic safari with the comfort and privacy of a luxurious retreat, making it a perfect destination for those seeking a soulful connection with nature.
