Pumba Private Game Reserve is 6 500 hectares in size and is home to the Big-5  as well as hippo, hyena, cheetah, giraffe, a large variety of antelope and more. Lake Cariega runs through Pumba Game reserve and attracts a diverse variety of birds, making the location a birdwatcher’s paradise. Game drives at Pumba take place twice a day, in the early morning and afternoon. Accompanied by passionately expert game rangers you will track and see an abundance of wildlife. Bushwalks allow one to experience the wild up close as you traverse the savannah.
Pumba Game Reserve offers luxurious accommodation at two high standard 5-star lodges on the reserve. Bush Lodge offers stunning mountain views and is located deeper in reserve overlooking a frequently visited waterhole. Water Lodge is positioned along the riverbed with views over Lake Cariega. Accommodation options offer 1 and 2-bedroom luxury suites with private game-viewing decks and plunge pools. At the lodge multiple relaxation areas are thoughtfully designed to look out onto the reserve. Game Drives:
- Game drives take place twice a day in the early mornings and afternoons for a duration of 3-4 hours.
