Safari Lodge
Tuningi Safari Lodge extends a luxurious five-star safari not only to honeymooners and couples, but to the entire family. The lodge hosts a maximum of 16 guests in four luxurious double suites and two family suites.
Every unit at Tuningi Safari Lodge is privately situated and features a wrap-around deck with views into the wild bushveld as well as an alfresco shower. The interiors are a blend of old-world charm and luxurious modern comfort with eco design elements. Cozy up with a book in front of your own stone-clad fireplace and soak in a tub with a view. Beds are elegantly draped with mosquito netting bringing a fairy tale charm to the sophisticated design.
While the kids are occupied with a host of exciting activities, parents can enjoy a massage, go for a workout in the gym, relax at the main lodge viewing deck, take a dip in the rim-flow pool, or enjoy a drink at the bar. These luxuriously relaxing general areas link up with wooden walkways that lead to an enchanting boma where you can experience a delightful evening meal under the starry African sky.

Location
Madikwe Game Reserve is located in the North Western Province of South Africa and lies on the South Africa/Botswana border.
Getting There
- Madikwe airstrip is the closet airstrip.
- There are two daily scheduled return flights from Johannesburg to Madikwe Airstrip with Federal Airlines.
- Flight time: Johannesburg to Madikwe: 60 minutes
- Road transfers from Madikwe Airstrip to the lodge take approximately 15 – 30 minutes.
- The reserve is a 4.5-hour drive from Johannesburg.
Child Policy
- Tuningi Safari Lodge welcomes children over 6 years.\
- Children 6 – 12 years pay 50% of adult rate.
- Family unit charged per unit and accommodates 4 guest and 1 child (12 years and under).
