Sausage Tree Safari Camp
Sausage Tree Safari Camp is situated in the Balule Private Nature Reserve which forms part of the renowned Greater Kruger National Park. Don’t be misled by the small size of this private reserve, as its 2500-hectare territory is strategically located with a 4km stretch along the Olifants River attracting a healthy hippo population and diverse bird colony. Marvel at the Big Five as well as sightings of zebra, giraffe, and antelope.
Sausage Tree Safari Camp boasts a spectacular view of the Northern Drakensberg Mountains. Its luxury tents are built in an elevated position with private views over the dry riverbed, bush, and majestic mountains. Wildlife adventures abound at Balule Private Game Reserve. After a four-wheel safari drive guests can embark on an Elephant Interaction adventure, Olifants River boat cruise, Nyani Cultural Village visit, or Reptile Park tour. Guests at Sausage Tree Safari Camp can also make a special visit to the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre. Here, injured animals are taken care of, rehabilitated and when possible released back into the wild. Photographic workshops at Sausage Tree Safari Camp provide a great opportunity to learn about wildlife photography and taking exquisite images to brag about back home. All workshops include notes and plenty practical tuition out in the bush. Sausage Tree Safari Camp is an oasis of relaxation featuring an open deck with uninterrupted views of the savannah and a water hole frequented by game. Laze around the pool, at the bar or in one of the lounges after a day filled with remarkable African adventures.
