Main lodge at Botlierskop
Situated along South Africa’s scenic Garden Route lies the 4200-hectare family-owned and privately-operated Botlierskop Game Reserve. Set on the foot of the Outeniqua Mountain Range the reserve boasts incredible mountain and ocean views. A mere 30 minutes’ drive from George airport or a scenic 4.5-hour drive from Cape Town, it is the perfect safari addition to your Garden Route travel itinerary. Botlierskop Game Reserve is home to four of the Big 5 (lion, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) as well as a host of antelope, rare black impala, zebra, giraffe, and hippo. There is also a large bird colony on the reserve. Lead by expert game rangers with an incredible passion for the African wild, daily game drives are taken in specialized 4×4 safari vehicles.
The Main Lodge at Botlierskop Game Reserve displays an authentic African style, standing high on fynbos strewn hills in a tranquil environment and enjoys a range of luxury accommodation with lavish tented units and executive suites. Elevated timber walkways connect the suites and the Main Lodge with its airy lounge areas and Fireplace Restaurant. The restaurant leads out to a spacious deck with wrap-around views of the valleys below. Three remarkable meals daily are complimented by warm hospitality and excellent service. The lodge offers extraordinary views from the swimming pool, and leisure areas. Enjoy the pampering spa along the riverbed and embark on exciting activities including canoeing and horseback riding.
