Cape Peninsula E-Bike Tour

This Cape Peninsula E-bike tour takes you to the very tip of the Cape Peninsula, where extraordinary vegetation laces rugged rocks and cliffs tower over endless oceans. Comfortable bike trails through the Cape Point Nature Reserve will lead you through the park’s rich bio-diversity with 250 species of birdlife, ostrich, buck, and Cape Mountain Zebra. 

After a short briefing, soak in the surrounds as you explore the reserve on two wheels. You will stop at the iconic Cape of Good Hope landmark and see monuments in honour of Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias – two of the world’s most famous explorers. While riding to the lighthouse at Cape Point take in the scenery of more than 1100 indigenous plant species that grow nowhere else in the world. Savour lunch (not included) with spectacular views of vast ocean waters where you may be able to spot some whales during season (June to October). 

The seas around Cape Point are renowned for their stormy waters and are home to the legendary ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman. Twenty-six recorded shipwrecks can be spotted along the park’s trails.

After lunch, you will end off your Cape Peninsula E-bike tour in the reserve. Optionally you may visit the charming penguins at Boulders Beach as they rest in their nests or play in the ocean. Your scenic drive home passes through the surf town of Muizenberg and Constantia, one of the country’s oldest wine suburbs.
