Gondwana is an 11 000-hectare private game reserve set at the foot of the picturesque Langeberg and Outeniqua mountains.  A mere 45 minutes’ drive from George airport or a scenic 4.5-hour drive from Cape Town, it is the perfect African safari addition to your Garden Route travel itinerary. This Garden Route game reserve offers individuals, families, and small groups the opportunity to embark on a unique hands-on safari conservation experience. The Eco Camp is an eco-friendly, solar-powered camp offering a 3-, or 5-day conservation program in the wild for guests wishing to be truly immersed in the essence of nature. The camp facilities include 5 spaciously comfortable tents set on elevated platforms.  Each unit has a private bathroom and covered timber deck.  Hearty safari meals of wraps, stews, and traditional barbecues are served in the African-style outdoor boma or the main communal tent.  The conservation program is guided by an expert game ranger introducing guests to the fundamentals of the reserve and wildlife. On warm days cool down in the nearby pool and relax in a hammock in between conservation activities, safari drives, and bush walks.
