Idube Game Reserve
Idube Game Reserve offers a verdant escape within the wilderness, resembling a lush oasis amidst the bush. On arrival Idube’s team welcomes guests, guiding them to their choice of luxurious or standard suites, all equipped with modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and private decks. The luxury suites even boast private swimming pools, while larger communal pools are available for all visitors.
Throughout the day and evening, guests can unwind at our fully-stocked bar or gazebo, enjoying panoramic views of our resident nyala and diverse birdlife. As night falls, the fire pit and open-air Boma provide a cozy ambiance for guests to gather and share safari experiences. Our morning and evening drives offer exhilarating wildlife encounters, guided by experienced rangers and trackers.
Idube Game Reserve’s location within the reserve provides ample opportunities to spot wildlife, including the renowned Big Five. Elephants have been known to casually drink from suite swimming pools, adding to the enchantment of the experience. Our bar and entertainment area serves as a focal point for guests to socialize and unwind, with a variety of beverages and a convivial atmosphere.
For families and groups, Idube Game Reserve offers a memorable setting for bonding and celebration, with options for exclusive bookings and tailored experiences. Amenities include a fully-equipped gym and rejuvenating spa treatments, ensuring a well-rounded retreat for guests.

Wildlife:
- High concentration of Big 5 with large herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as large lion prides.
- Other wildlife include but are not limited to the hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, cheetah, wild dog, hyaena, warthog and many other cat and antelope species.
- Over 500 bird species.
Game Drives:
- Sabi Sands game drives are ranked some of the best in the world.
- Game drives take place twice a day in the early mornings and afternoons for a duration of 3-4 hours.
- Game drives are led by an experienced guide and tracker team.
- Vehicles are allowed to go off road to track and follow the wildlife.
- Strict traverse rules are in place and vehicle numbers are limited in each reserve. A maximum of two vehicles are allowed at any sighting.
- Night drives and guided bushwalks are permitted.

Location:
- Located in the western edge of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and shares unfenced borders with the Savanna, Singita and Dulini game reserves.
- Sabi Sands is a 65 000-hectare private game reserve and lies in South Africa’s far north-eastern corner in the Mpumalanga province. The private reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger, sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park.
Getting there:
- Ulusaba private airstrip is the closet airstrip, two daily chartered flights from Johannesburg are operated by Federal Airlines.
- Skukuza (SKU) is the closet commercial airport to Idube daily flights operate from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
- Flight time from Johannesburg to Skukuza or Ulusaba private airstrip: 60 minutes.
- Flight time from Cape Town to Skukuza: 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Road transfers from Skukuza to Idube take 90 minutes.
Child Policy:
- Indube Safari Lodge welcome children from 8 years.
- Children 8 – 12 pay a child rate when sharing with two adults.
Inclusions & Exclusions:
- Included: 2 x Game drives per day, guided bush walks, all meals, teas and coffees, and private airstrip transfers.
- Excluded: All drinks, conservation levies, commercial airport transfers, and anything of personal nature.
