Lalibela Game Reserve

Lalibela Game Reserve, a malaria-free sanctuary in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, spans 10,500 hectares and is teeming with diverse flora and fauna. It offers an extraordinary opportunity to observe the Big Five, along with a myriad of other wildlife in their natural habitats. The highlight of any stay at Lalibela is the game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles. Wildlife:

Lalibela is a Big-5 reserve and is home to the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
Particularly known for its high density of free-roaming lions, which are particularly supported by the high numbers of plains game.
Other wildlife include giraffe, hippo, cheetah, hyena, zebra, impala, wildebeest, red hartebeest, blesbuck, a variety of antelope species and more.
A large bird colony is found in the reserve.
Leopard sightings are rare in any eastern cape game reserve.

Game Drives:

Game drives take place twice a day in the early mornings and afternoons for a duration of 3-4 hours.
Game drives are led by an experienced guide.
