Nearby beaches are the breeding ground for Leatherback Turtles and offer guests the opportunity to embark on an ocean safari, snorkelling or scuba diving adventure. With limited vehicle access preventing overcrowding and careful off-roading practices, guests are guaranteed remarkable close-up wildlife encounters. Phinda Mountain Lodge offers guests a variety of other activities including cultural tours, conservation projects, an infrared Night Eye Experience, and turtle hatching expedition in season.

Children of all ages welcome. Children under 6 years are not allowed on game drivesMore Detailsand children under 16 years are not permitted on walking safaris. Children between 6 and 11 years are allowed on game drives at the discretion of the lodge manager. If paying for a Private Vehicle, children of any age may go on game drive, with access to sightings being at the discretion of the guide, based on the behaviour of both child and animals.
