&Beyond Kirkman's Kamp
The &Beyond Kirkman’s Kamp is a private game reserve in Sabi Sands, set high on a ridge overlooking the Sands River. Featuring unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, it is home to a great diversity of wildlife. Kirkman’s Kamp has exclusive traversing rights on 10 500 hectares of land, which means that guests can explore the reserve on foot, go on a night drive, or go off-road for close-up wildlife encounters. In addition to incredible leopard sightings, and the magnificent Big 5, there are over 500 bird species, 145 animal species, and 110 reptile species to discover.
The lodge at &Beyond Kirkman’s Kamp is uniquely positioned on the Sand River with exclusive access to the riverbed. Twelve luxurious vintage-style cottages boast fireplaces, private verandas, and spectacular views. Besides 2 daily game-drives, cooling down in the rim-flow swimming pool or relaxing in the library, guests can also enjoy nature walks, photography lessons, birdwatching, star gazing, private and photographic safaris, and a game of tennis. Wildlife:

Game Drives:
- Sabi Sands game drives are ranked some of the best in the world.
- Game drives take place twice a day in the early mornings and afternoons for a duration of 3-4 hours.
- Game drives are led by an experienced guide and tracker team.
- Vehicles are allowed to go off road to track and follow the wildlife.
- Strict traverse rules are in place and vehicle numbers are limited in each reserve. A maximum of two vehicles are allowed at any sighting.

Location:
- Located in the South of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National park as well as MalaMala and Lion Sands game reserves.
- Sabi Sands is a 65 000-hectare private game reserve and lies in South Africa’s far north-eastern corner in the Mpumalanga province. The private reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger, sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park.
Getting there:
- Skukuza (SKU) is the closet airport to Tengile River Lodge, daily flights operate from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
- Flight time from Johannesburg to Skukuza or Ulusaba private airstrip: 60 minutes.
- Flight time from Cape Town to Skukuza: 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Road transfers from Skukuza to Tengile River Lodge take 20 minutes and are arranged in open 4×4 safari vehicles.
