Dukes East Camp

Duke’s East is an intimate safari hideaway in the remote northern Okavango Delta, where classic under-canvas style meets authentic wilderness adventure. A sister camp to the renowned Duke’s Camp, it shares the same timeless design and expert guiding but offers a more personal feel with just four tents. Perfect for families or small groups, the entire camp can also be booked exclusively for a truly private experience.

Nestled beneath ebony and leadwood trees along a quiet channel, the camp captures the charm of vintage safari living, four-poster beds, Persian rugs, and handpicked curios from across Africa. Days follow the rhythm of the wild: early game drives in search of predators, peaceful mokoro trips through lily-filled waterways, and sunset cruises past elephants bathing in the shallows. Evenings are spent beneath the stars, with fine wine, lantern-lit dinners, and stories shared around the fire.

Steeped in heritage, the camp is named after Sarefo “Duke” Sarefo, whose family has lived on the island for generations. His deep knowledge of the Delta brings authenticity and heart to every safari. At Duke’s East, life slows down, wildlife encounters are constant, and every moment reflects the true spirit of the Okavango, from the splash of a mokoro paddle to a lion’s distant roar at night.
