DumaTau Camp

Set deep within Botswana’s remote Mababe Depression, Wilderness Mokete Camp offers a raw and immersive safari experience in one of the country’s least explored wilderness areas. Surrounded by vast grasslands, marshes, and mopane woodland, the camp is perfectly positioned for exceptional wildlife encounters and dramatic landscapes.

As the only camp within more than 50,000 hectares, Wilderness Mokete Camp combines remote luxury with outstanding predator sightings, massive buffalo herds, and seasonal zebra migrations, delivering a safari far removed from the ordinary.

Bordering the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park, Wilderness Mokete sits in a unique ecosystem shaped by seasonal floodwaters and nutrient-rich grasslands. The area attracts remarkable concentrations of wildlife, from huge herds of buffalo and elephant to lion, hyena, cheetah, leopard, and African wild dog.

Designed for travellers seeking a more adventurous Botswana safari, Mokete focuses on authentic exploration, flexible safari experiences, and low-impact luxury. With only nine tents, the camp offers privacy, comfort, and uninterrupted access to one of Botswana’s wildest regions.
