Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge, located in KwaZulu Natal is a 5-star safari lodge is set within 9300 hectares of pristine wildlife landscapes in the Nambiti Private Game Reserve. The malaria-free reserve boasts intriguing biodiversity of riverine bush, grasslands, savannah, and thornveld, and is situated only 40 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Drakensberg Mountain Range. The diverse landscape allows for a variety of bird species and 45 mammals species including lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and Cape buffalo. The total of 9 suites at Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge are a blend of opulent design and indulgent relaxation. The lodge’s beautiful infinity pool looks over vast wild plains, while the open-plan communal lounge leads out onto a terrace with views over the valley. Romantic evenings are spent next to cozy fires and dining on world-class cuisine with a choice of vintage from the wine cellar.
Being the only Big 5 reserve in the area, Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge offers spectacular game drives hosted by passionate game rangers in 4-wheel drive safari vehicles. Get up close to nature by taking a guided bushwalk and learning about the plants, smaller animals and insects. Due to the proximity of the Drakensberg Mountain Range guests can enjoy an array of thrilling outdoor activities including hiking, golf, horse riding, quad biking, and mountain biking.
Wildlife:
- Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo).
- Nambiti is home to over 40 other mammal species of game including cheetah, giraffe, hippo, hyena, impala, zebra and kudu and an abundance of antelope species.
- Approximately 200 bird species have been recording in the reserve.
Game Drives:
- Game drives are taken in open 4×4 safari vehicles and are accompanied by a ranger, who will share a wealth of knowledge about the animals with you.
- The game drives are 2.5 – 3 hours long and take place twice a day in the morning and afternoon.
- Morning game drives are complimented by a coffee stop and a sundowner downer stop in the evening a remote location.
