Okavango Explorers Camp is in the southwest of Selinda Reserve, northern Botswana. It sits where the Selinda Spillway meets the upper Okavango Delta, combining two key ecosystems. The area hosts high concentrations of wildlife. Lions, leopards, and African wild dogs hunt here regularly. Giraffes, buffalo, and rare antelopes like roan, sable, and eland are often seen. During the peak dry season, over 9,000 elephants move through the spillway. Birdlife is abundant, with both resident and migratory species along the floodplains and waterways.
Okavango Explorers Camp reflects a classic 1920s safari style. Canvas tents on raised platforms feature campaign-style furniture and private verandas. The central area is an open-plan marquee with dining and lounge spaces. Safari activities include early morning and late afternoon game drives, guided walks, canoeing when water levels allow, and seasonal catch-and-release fishing. The camp suits individual travelers, couples, families, or groups seeking exclusive use.
