Selinda Camp

Selinda Camp is an exclusive, handcrafted safari lodge located in northern Botswana, where the Selinda Spillway meets the Linyanti River, within the vast 130,000-hectare Selinda Reserve. Set in one of Africa’s last remaining pristine wilderness areas, this Relais & Châteaux member camp offers an exceptional blend of ecological harmony, refined luxury, and immersive wildlife experiences.

Designed by renowned conservationists Dereck and Beverly Joubert, Selinda Camp reflects the spirit of the African bush through a thoughtful design philosophy inspired by the five classical elements, Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Metal, and incorporates handcrafted elements, natural textures, and cultural references throughout. With just three expansive guest suites and a private two-bedroom Selinda Suite, each featuring private plunge pools, outdoor decks, and elegant interiors reminiscent of early explorer style, the camp ensures exclusivity and comfort.

Guests enjoy guided game drives, walking safaris, seasonal boating, birdwatching, and catch-and-release fishing, all set against a backdrop of rich biodiversity that includes elephants, leopards, hippos, and the famed Selinda lion pride. Featured in National Geographic’s Birth of a Pride, the area offers year-round wildlife viewing, thanks to its permanent waterways and protected status. Enhanced by gourmet cuisine, wellness treatments, and Beverly Joubert’s fine-art photography, Selinda Camp provides a deeply personal and conservation-centered safari experience, balancing sophistication with a genuine connection to nature.
