Shinde Camp

Nestled on a palm island in the northern Okavango Delta, Shinde Camp is an intimate and iconic safari camp. It blends classic safari style with luxury and historical charm. The camp sits on the edge of the permanent Shinde Lagoon, surrounded by diverse wildlife and abundant birdlife, offering year-round safari opportunities.

The main area at Shinde Camp is built in a treehouse style with multi-tiered dining rooms, lounges, and fire decks under ebony and mangosteen trees. Guests enjoy stunning views over the lagoon. Shinde sits within a private 91.2-square-kilometre concession at the northern edge of the Okavango Delta, bordering Moremi Game Reserve. The landscape includes waterways, islands, floodplains, and mopane and acacia woodland, supporting sitatunga antelope, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and lions.

Shinde Camp offers a variety of activities, including guided game drives, walking safaris, motorboat and mokoro excursions, night drives, and fishing. The camp maintains a small guest capacity for personalized experiences and guarantees prime seating on game drives. Eco-friendly solar energy powers the camp, and the tents feature indoor and outdoor showers. Shinde provides an authentic yet luxurious safari experience for families, couples, and discerning travelers.
