Children of all ages are welcome, however, children under 3 years may not More Details dine on communal decks, in the boma, or dining room. The lodge is happy to arrange a private boma dinner for families travelling with small children or provide room service dinners. Children younger than 6 years are not allowed on game drives, however, children aged 3-6 may participate in game drives if a private game drive vehicle is booked. Children under 16 years are not allowed on bushwalks.

The reserve is a 3-hour drive from Durban, 1.5-hour drive from Richards Bay, or a 6.5-hour drive from Johannesburg with all routes along the N2 highway. The entrance to the reserve is a convenient 6-minutes from the highway.
Fly from all major centres in South Africa to Durban’s international airport. Flights on selected airlines are available to Richards Bay. Airlink offers daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg to Phinda private airstrip.
