Each of the 8 thatched tents feature a private viewing deck with plunge pool overlooking a watering point. Amakhala Bush Lodge is the perfect place for you if you want an authentic bush retreat without foregoing any of life’s luxuries. Guests are transferred from the main lodge into the reserve to their five-star tented accommodation. Visits to the nearby Addo Elephant National Park can be arranged on request for longer staying guests.

    The Amakhala Game Reserve is a malaria-free, private game reserve spanning over 8500 hectares of African landscape in the Eastern Cape.     The reserve is a 1-hour drive from Port Elizabeth or a 9-hour drive from Cape Town, both on the scenic N2 highway. Driving from Cape Town takes you through the Garden Route for approximately 816km from which you will turn to the reserve entrance.
