Gondwana family lodge is a modern roomy thatched lodge designed to cater to families, friends and groups on safari. At the lodge, guests can relish magnificent vistas of the Anysberg Mountains and the Bellair Dam. They can also enjoy five-star accommodation and take advantage of the lodge’s many facilities.

The room offerings at Gondwana comprise twelve luxury suites (six upstairs and six downstairs) with private balconies or viewing decks. Dwyka, a tented lodge surrounded by striking rock formations, is ideal for safari-goers who love camping but also appreciate luxury. A nice getaway for couples and friends. Explorer Camp

For tourists seeking a safari experience that delivers an up-close encounter with nature, there is the Explorer Camp at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. This camp, which operates between October and April, offers a two-day walking expedition into the African bushveld to guests between the ages of 16 and 60 years old.

Sanbona’s Explorer Camp venue is simplistic. However, it is not your typical camping site. It is positioned along a shady riverbed and provides three fully loaded canvas tents. Each tent includes two dressed stretcher beds, a chemical toilet, bucket shower and canvas basin and must-haves like insect repellent and towels. There’s an awesome hammock nestled under an old tree. Food, snacks and refreshments are served on the trip.
