Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, nestled in the Sabi Sands of northeastern South Africa, has a rich history that began in the 1980s when the owners acquired portions of the farm ‘Shaws.’ The first lodge built was Bush Lodge, which has since evolved while maintaining its warm and inviting atmosphere. Over the years Sabi Sabi’s Lodge portfolio has grown and there are now four luxury lodge in the reserve.

With over a century of safari experience, Sabi Sabi offers award-winning facilities and unforgettable wildlife encounters. The reserve’s 5,400 hectares share unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, wildlife to roam freely. In addition to the Big Five, visitors can spot an abundance of wildlife including cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, hyenas, antelopes, as well as over 500 bird species. The diverse flora and fauna thrive in the unique biomes created by the Sabie and Sand rivers, making each game drive a fascinating experience.

Game drives at Sabi Sabi Game Reserve occur at dawn and sunset, led by experienced guides and trackers. Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge offers a variety of accommodation options in 25 luxury suites and two 2-bedroom villas. The luxury suites have a separate lounge area with day beds, ideal for families with small children. The Mahlatini and Tumbela Villas have two ensuite bedrooms and a large communal lounge, which open up onto a patio with a private swimming pool and waterhole views. Sabi Sabi Selati Camp provides accommodation in seven elegant suites. The decor offers a nostalgic nod to a bygone era evoking the spirit of early 20th-century adventure.
